Logo Design Case-Studies
Neil Wray
Neil Wray is a boxer based in the South of England; his (then) management team came to us looking for a professional logo design to represent Neil Wray the brand, as well as the fighter.
We took the fighters’ nickname, ‘The King Of Sting’, and worked our logo design around this idea.
Our first thought was to produce a wasp, using sharp, angular edges to promote a feeling of aggressiveness. The wasp was drawn and coloured using Adobe Illustrator:
This made up the focus point of the overall logo design, allowing us to use a simple, clean font to tie off the overall professional feeling of the logo.

FightFitStore.com
We were approached by the owner of FightFitStore.com – an online extreme sports clothing, equipment and supplement retailer – who wanted a new logo design to launch the brand.
After several consultations with the client, we elected to stay away from the more predictable and sterotypical imagery associated with this kind of logo; instead producing an idea which kept the fighting related connotations without resorting to specific images or icons.

The Beautiful Word
We were approached by The Beautiful Word – a pop-folk band based in Brighton – who were looking for a new logo design to use on their merchandise, album artwork and online presence.
The band requested a clean, professional logo with some sort of flourish; they also expressed a preference for curvature in their branding and artwork. After producing a custom font in Adobe Illustrator, we came up with the above logo for the band.
The band were particularly happy with their logo and have sinced commissioned the Designbysoap design team to produce numerous other pieces of artwork. After receiving their final logo design, the band left the following feedback:
