Longest Human Space Flights [Infographic]


Space travel is one of those topics that both frightens and amazes me in equal measure. The bravery and determination of those who choose to go into space is phenomenal, but the potential of not coming home or experiencing problems when you’re so far away from home makes it something I’m not sure I’d be able to do myself.

I was interested then to come across data on the longest human space flights, particularly when I learned that a Russian cosmonaut by the name of Valeri Polyakov spent well over a year in space – an incredible 437.7 days.

So, wanting to visualise this data, I produced the following ‘Longest Human Space Flights’ infographic poster:
