If designbysoap Managed England…
So we’ve got the two friendlies out of the way, just about coming through with two victories. After a decent 45 minutes against Mexico and an unconvincing performance against Japan, debate is lively in the designbysoap office as to who Fabio Capello should start with on June 12th.
So after a quick office survey, here’s what the starting XI would look like if designbysoap managed England:
We’ve gone for the much debated 4-5-1 system with Rooney up front on his own. Personally i feel this is England’s best system – Rooney has scored most of his goals for Man Utd this season playing as the lone striker, and when England attack Gerrard can move up to interlink with Rooney.
Man City’s Adam Johnson gets a place in our starting line up above Theo Walcott; we feel his end results are better than the Arsenal wingers’.
Milner also gets the nod in midfield, mainly because we’re all expecting Gareth Barry to be unfit for the start of the tournament.
So let us know what you think!
